Spiced Pumpkin Latte

The leaves are starting to turn color and the fall feeling has arrived! If you're a fan of pumpkins, this is a must try recipe to kick off your mornings this season! :)

Ingredients:

2 shots of espresso

3/4 cup of oat milk

1 tBsp pumpkin puree

2 tsp coconut sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp allspice

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground ginger powder

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/8 tsp ground cloves


Directions:

1) Combine all of the spices, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree into a mug.

2) Pull two shots of espresso into the mug and stir until the pumpkin puree and coconut sugar are dissolved.

3) Steam and froth oat milk and pour into the mug.


Optional: Total time: 5 minutes

Coconut whip cream Total servings: 1 serving

Dusting of spice blend over top


Notes:

*I find that different brands of plant milk and different types of plant milk can make the biggest difference in how coffee/drinks will taste. For this recipe, I used Aldi's oatmilk and it is a cheaper, yet equally delicious option compared to oatly (which is also a winner in my book when it comes to different coffee drinks). Other plant milks can be used too, but oat milk is all around more friendly to the wallet, the environment, and to your taste palette in this case. I love almond milk, but I'm not a fan of it in coffee because it can taste a bit burnt if steamed incorrectly.

*It goes without saying but different amounts of the spices can be used depending on what you prefer! Spices are packed with antioxidants (even more than berries!) So, flavor up!

*Coconut sugar was my choice of sweetener, but maple syrup would work incredibly here!

*I have been absolutely loving my Delonghi La Especialista espresso machine. It was the best investment ever! I can easily say that it's allowed me to create drinks that taste better than any cafe I've been to all while reducing my negative impact on the planet. I used it to pour the shots of espresso, however an alternative for the espresso shots is creating a concentrated brew!
